Olly Murs flies through to final 8 in X Factor!

Olly Murs flies through to final 8 in X Factor!

So pleased to see Olly’s performance on X Factor last night (Saturday 31st October 2009) What a Halloween! He was in fact the best performance on the show out of all the remaining 9 contestants, and that is not being biased. When I realised that he was singing the Beatles’ hit ‘Come Together’ I thought it would be big mistake, and that ‘Rock Night’ would not be the best week for him, but he cracked it and was one of the only contestants who nailed it and made it his own.  I think the end when he rips his shirt open was a hit with his fans!

I have to say I was quite disappointed by some of the others, and Danyl in particular for sulking and not overcoming his downfall the week before – you have to prove your strength in this show! I also didn’t like Lucie doing Bon Jovi – it just didn’t work for me. As for Jamie, he did rock on a rock week and was slated by Louie who seems to think he sounds like karaoke – what rubbish! I like Jamie. And the twins – John and Edward – one of them was completely out of tune and was singing a whole verse in the wrong part of the tune – unbelievable, but they are entertaining.

Still, Olly to win!!!!!  Simon Cowell was the best mentor for him and he picks some great songs.
